GI Joe: Rise of Cobra

On the subject of the movie GI Joe: Rise of Cobra we're really not sure what to say about it. Though we are sure it will in no way compare to Transformers: RotF, we are really just hoping for the best at this point.

There are a few things that give us hope. Stuart Beattie is one of the writers. His best credentials are the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. Now on to the scary part. Stephen Sommers is the director and a producer. His best work includes The Mummy series. That's about the best the we could find: The Mummy. The first The Mummy was ok, but we don't know anyone who saw the rest of them. We are assuming that Mr. Sommers is the link to Brendan Fraser.

Brendan Fraser, Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid, Marlon Wayons, and Channing Tatum seem to be the only recognized names among the cast. I can not imagine the day that I would pay $20 for two tickets to see a movie with this cast. Even though this post may not seem optimistic, we are going to wait for the official trailer before we decide whether or not to wait until DVD to see it.
