USA Today Transformers Contest Tainted?

I was digging around on the web today looking to see who won the USA Today Design the Ultimate Transformers contest. Usually the skilled entrants in these kinds of contests create very visual designs that are cool to check out. When I got to the actual site, I was pretty surprised to find out that the contest had ended without a winner. As to why, USA Today has this to say:

"Contest was terminated June 23, 2009 without a winner

because it was comprimised by causes beyond the reasonable

control of Sponsor that corrupted and impaired its

administration, fairness and proper operation. A new

Ultimate Transformers Contest will begin soon..."
