Transformers Fans Re-Live Revenge Tomorrow

Monday, October 19, 2009

Finally something to look forward to (and write about)! Revenge of the Fallen will officially hit store shelves at midnight tonight. With all of the boot leg version that are abundant now, it may have actually been hard not to catch it on someones television.

My wife did not go to the theater with me. She's really become such a tight wad that she usually only pay theater prices twice a year. Since Hannah Montana and High School Musical 3 already rolled around she wasn't even considering Transformers. Then, there was the boot leg version that I swore to her was really good quality. She looked up at it and disagreed, "No it's not. I'm not watching a shitty version of it." Okay, so maybe she was right. It wasn't the real thing.

Tomorrow: Revenge of the Fallen, 56 inches with surround. Not the same as the first time I watched it, but definitely better than the second! Oh yeah, and all of those special features you'd only get to see if you watched it on an IMAX screen - they'll be there too!

Transformers 3 in 2011

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Michael Bay announced this week that he'd be meeting with Spielberg to decide a definite Transformers 3 release. This morning, he announced that July 1, 2011 is the official release date for the third installment.
I'm not usually a big "copy and paster", but for this last bit directed towards Megan Fox - I will copy and paste!

P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.

Hilarious!

Actual Revenge of the Fallen Theatre Revenue

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

I've read several places (boards and blogs and social sites) that quoted actual revenue from Revenge of the Fallen. Yes, the movie has grossed over $400 million as of date, but that's just domestic. The number closest to the actual worldwide gross is around $830 million.

GI Joe Stays in 5th This Weekend

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Weekend movie estimates at Variety have GI Joe holding in for 5th place. Which got me thinking about the Hangover. It's really quite funny. We watched it a couple of weeks ago. I came across this article that may explain why the Hangover has done so well this Summer.

Megan Covers Cosmo

Megan Fox has the October 2009 cover of Cosmo. Reading that caption made me laugh, "Juicy Stuff She Could Only Say in Cosmo". LOL! Hell that chick will say anything just to get people to listen. She's no dummy!

No Surprises... GI Joe Owns The Weekend Box Office

Sunday, August 9, 2009

GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra raked in $56,200,000 this past premiere weekend. We did not make it to see any movie this weekend. However, I am highly considering taking my wife and kids to the drive in about an hour away from us for the double feature of GI Joe and RotF. Would prefer not to see this at the drive- in, but I've been waiting for an excuse to take my kids. If not for this movie, they wouldn't know what a drive- in is!

Bumblebee Gone Bike

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

The Bumblebee King is a UK creation by West London Suzuki. Taking it too far? No, in my opinion, once Bumblebee turned into a Chevy he was fair game for Suzuki.
