How to Spot a G1 Knock Off Defensor Gift Set

Click the pic to enlarge and check out the differences yourself. There are clear differences in the box between the KO Defensor Gift Set and the Original G1 Defensor Gift Set. This particular knock off is has one exception. The stickers that would have been factory - such as the one on Hot Spot was applied and the package resealed. However, you will notice that the window stickers on First Aid were applied and they were not supposed to be.

Transformers Encore Bruticus and Cassettes Released

(Just to make you aware.) I came across one of the Encore Bruticus' on ebay the other day. As usual, my only concern with an Encore release is that there will be someone who tries to sell them as G1's. Click here to read more and to learn the distinct differences. Remember that you can't always tell just be looking at a picture. Also remember that even the seller may not know it's an Encore.

Here we have a really bad Chinese knock off of The Transformers Series called Hyperwiz (百变机兽). They even have autobots, decepticons, and characters named Ironhide and Bonecrusher!

Easily Identify a Knock Off

I found this site today. I'm not really sure how I've never stumbled upon it before. This is a lot of really nice information and we haven't even begun to make our way through all of it yet.

The best information we've found so far is that the copyright information may one of the easiest ways to determine whether or not you have a knock off Transformers. On the packaging of some Chinese ko's the copyright information simply isn't long enough.

I've come across a few only in pictures that I have to do a double take to try and decide whether or not it is legit.
